About this role
Omniscient Digital has a growing portfolio of large B2B clients. We build their strategies, produce their content, promote it, and optimize it.
You will build the foundation of our internal guest writing and backlinking program and scale it to serve our clients and the Omniscient Digital web properties.
When applying, include “backlinks rule” as the passphrase.
This will be one of our most critical roles in scaling the business.
You’ll be accountable for:
Building a repeatable playbook for building backlinks for clients through content partnerships, outreach, and guest post placements
Partnering with a team of writers to produce guest posts in a timely manner to hit backlink quotas
Working with our client success team to ensure we deliver backlinks to clients in a repeatable manner
Building relationships with writers, editors, bloggers, and publishers
There is a lot of room to be creative with plenty of autonomy to build the system as you see fit. We know what we need to build to grow the business. How it gets built is up to you. You’ll have the full support from the founders.
You'll be given a huge amount of freedom to grow this part of our business, so if that kind of ownership excites you, read on.

Who you are
You're experienced in SEO and content. You have 2-3 years of experience with SEO, keyword research, and content marketing. You are familiar with tools such as Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Asana, Notion, Clearscope, Loom, Google Analytics, and more.
You’re not afraid to jump on a call. This role is heavily relationship-focused. In many ways, you’re a relationship and account manager for three parties: our writers, our partners, and our list of sites for guest posts.
You’re systems-focused. This role will also be dependent on building scalable systems that allow us to build backlinks in a cost-effective manner. You should be comfortable calculating the average cost of a link and building a ledger for partner links.
You’re process-oriented. You thrive as a project manager and try to be as efficient as possible, usually by creating checklists and systems. You document your work and workflows and always look for ways to improve a process.
You’re meticulous. Whether it be a well-placed comma, a pixel-perfect design, or clear communication, you sweat the details. You’re capable of editing others’ written content and getting their content ready for editors to publish.
You make great decisions quickly and focus on action. You have a bias toward action and learning on the fly. A half-baked plan acted on is better than getting hung up on creating the perfect plan (or guest post or outreach email). You don't shy away from making decisions, knowing that you can iterate and improve as you go.
You seek feedback. You’re eager to learn new things to grow and improve your skills.
You believe in punctuality. Deadlines are not optional for you.
You’re an intellectually curious critical thinker. Time flies by as you find yourself researching interesting topics or finding creative ways to solve a problem.
You’re adaptable. You're flexible and agile. You realize that things change and often don't work out perfectly, so you do what needs to be done and keep moving forward.
You’re great at working independently. You’re comfortable setting and achieving your own goals and can communicate what you’re working on. You don't need or want to be managed, and you don't depend on stress or high-pressure environments to get shit done.
You're not an asshole. We spend a lot of our days engaging with our coworkers and clients. There's no room for assholes. You're friendly, eager to jump in and take ownership, and love to work as a team to be successful.
Benefits of working with us
We're here to help you grow and do great work.
We’re a 100% remote company, so you can work from anywhere.
By working at a small company with multiple clients, you'll improve your SEO, editorial, marketing, and project management skills faster than you would at a big company.
Ample opportunities to take on more responsibility.
We’ll coach you up toward becoming a world-class marketer.
We take team trips each year to cities like LA, Boston, Austin, or Chicago to get some time together in person.
