About this role

Omniscient Digital is growing quickly, and we deeply believe in our commitment to never compromise content quality. It’s what differentiates us from other agencies. We write great shit.

Writing great content requires great writers. That’s you!

This is the perfect role for someone experienced in writing looking to grow their career at an incredibly fast pace. If you’re up for it, there are many ways to expand responsibilities and learn beyond content writing. Because we’re a small company, you’ll have a massive amount of autonomy and the ability to influence how we work with clients and grow our business.

You'll be given a huge amount of freedom to grow this part of our business, so if that kind of ownership excites you, read on.

When applying, include “I love writing” as the passphrase.

Your responsibilities

Your job as a content writer will include…

  • Working with our SEO and Content Strategists to write best-in-the-world content for clients—some of the most well-known B2B software companies in the world.

  • Writing the occasional article for the Omniscient Digital blog about what you’re doing or learning.

  • Writing client case studies, lead magnets, and premium sales enablement content.

  • Interviewing subject matter experts to create game-changing thought leadership content.

  • Editing (for SEO, grammar, and accuracy) all client content deliverables

Who you are

  • You're experienced in SEO. You have 2-3 years of experience with SEO, keyword research, and content marketing. You don’t need to know how to run a technical SEO audit, but you should understand how to craft a piece that ranks in the search engine results.

  • You’re meticulous. You sweat the details. You’re capable of editing your own work and the pieces you ship are in pristine shape. No typos, errors, or easy mistakes. (Don’t worry, you’ll work with an editor.)

  • You read marketing blogs. You stay up to date about content, marketing, and SEO and subscribe to blogs like CXL, HubSpot, and Ahrefs. You understand how content impacts the marketing funnel and how to write content that converts.

  • You’re not afraid to ask questions or chat with subject matter experts as part of your research. Good content requires engagement with experts and executives. You’ll be running many of these interviews.

  • You seek feedback. You’re eager to learn new things to grow and improve your skills.

  • You believe in punctuality. Deadlines are not optional for you.

  • You’re an intellectually curious critical thinker. Time flies by as you find yourself researching interesting topics or finding creative ways to solve a problem.

  • You’re adaptable. When it comes to writing, we work with B2B software companies but the topic matter might vary a lot. You realize things change so you do what needs to be done and keep moving forward.

  • You’re great at working independently. You’re comfortable setting and achieving your own goals and can communicate what you’re working on. You don't need or want to be managed, and you don't depend on stress or high-pressure environments to get shit done.

  • You're not an asshole. We spend a lot of our days engaging with our coworkers and clients. There's no room for assholes. You're friendly, eager to jump in and take ownership, and love to work as a team to be successful.

Benefits of working with us

We're here to help you grow and do great work.

  • We’re a 100% remote company, so you can work from anywhere.

  • By working at a small company with multiple clients, you'll improve your SEO, editorial, marketing, and project management skills faster than you would at a big company.

  • Ample opportunities to take on more responsibility.

  • We’ll coach you up toward becoming a world-class marketer.

  • We take team trips each year to cities like LA, Boston, Austin, or Chicago to get some time together in person.
