About this role

We’re hiring a SEO Content Growth Strategist to architect and produce organic growth strategies that drive real business results. Your goal will be to create measurable growth opportunities for clients and own the execution of these projects.

This is the perfect role for someone experienced in SEO, content marketing, growth marketing, and demand generation in an agency or in-house SaaS environment

We’re a fully distributed company and thrive on autonomy. You’ll have tremendous freedom to own and grow your role. 

What you’ll do

  • You’ll understand the 360º view of each client's industry, business, product, and audience, and apply this knowledge to organic growth strategy, content, conversion optimization, and data analysis projects.

  • You’ll own the strategy and execution of these complex projects, in tandem with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You’ll work directly with growth and marketing executives at B2B tech companies, advising on organic growth opportunities and collaborating with internal growth teams.

  • You’ll build reporting dashboards, set targets, forecast business impact, and track performance and learnings from all client accounts. You’ll analyze organic traffic changes and communicate project wins, challenges, and insights to clients.

  • You’ll work with our Editorial team to ensure clients receive high-quality deliverables that align with your strategic vision.

  • You’ll work with your Strategy counterparts to experiment with and fine-tune new strategies and tactics to bring our clients success.

  • You’ll strategize with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO, Clearscope, and Keywords Everywhere. You’ll manage projects with tools like Notion, Airtable, Loom, Slack, and Google Drive.

Who you are

  • You understand and are curious about business. While you’re an expert at SEO and content strategy, you also know that the goal of B2B content is to contribute to business goals. You understand and can effectively communicate to stakeholders how a successful content strategy translates to business impact.

  • You’re comfortable defining and owning a strategic roadmap, as well as the execution of the roadmap. You can work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to drive progress and achieve goals.

  • You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role embodies both Lead Strategist and Account Manager — a unique position compared to other agencies. You’ll serve as the “quarterback” for your portfolio — calling the shots, delegating to analysts, and rallying the team around a shared vision for each client.

  • You learn from your mistakes and develop new skills and competencies. You’re agile, you learn as you go, and you ask for/give help when needed. You “make the road by walking.” You’re obsessed with learning and developing new skills and you are comfortable doing so in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are comfortable taking full ownership of your projects and working in a performance-driven environment. You ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful work for the client and the business.

  • You’re an independent worker and leader. You can set and achieve your own goals and communicate what you’re working on. You don't need or want to be managed (but you’re always eager to learn). You can ask for help but thrive in autonomy.

  • You’re organized and detail-oriented. You can juggle multiple projects and responsibilities with multiple people at once. FYI, the passcode is ‘content rocks.’

  • You're a strong verbal and written communicator. You can present to top executives and dive into the details with content creators and analysts. You can operate at 30,000 feet and 500 feet.
